LAMB PROGRAM
Tony Imondi, Director

LAMB, which stands for “Least Among My Brethren” is a program which raises
funds to assist people with intellectual disabilities in North Carolina. The individual
Knights of Columbus Councils are responsible for collecting the funds. Eighty-five
percent of the proceeds are awarded by the local councils to agencies which provide
training or services to mentally handicapped individuals. The remainder is
distributed state-wide to similar agencies by the LAMB Foundation of North Carolina.

Operation LAMB has raised over $16 million dollars for citizens of North Carolina
with intellectual disabilities.  This entire amount was raised without a single paid
employee thanks to the more than 12,000 Knights state-wide, who along with their
friends and families spend long hours giving away Tootsie Rolls and accepting
donations.  Donations are also received from community businesses.

During 2008, Council #9039 will hold fund-raisers at Food Lion Stores, Lowes Food
Stores, an IGA Grocery Store, Wal-Mart and at Saint Brendan's Church.
